Does ITM provide Interim Executive Services?
Yes, we will provide Interim technology executives on an engagement basis. The minimum term is 120 days in most circumstances. Monthly rates will apply for an Interim Executive engagement of 4 months or more. Special circumstances, such as illness or personal / family leave situations may be of a shorter duration and are negotiable.
How does ITMdetermine its rates and fees?
Our fee schedules adhere to a value structure. Inherently more valuable, strategic services are higher than assessments for example. Short term engagements of 60 days or less are priced on an hourly basis. Engagements longer than 60 days and less than 180 days may be priced on a hourly or weekly basis. Engagements longer than 180 days may be priced hourly, weekly, or monthly depending upon the time and effort required to fulfill the objectives of the client's statement of work. For fixed engagements, such as an IT Management Assessment, the engagement is normally priced on a fixed basis.
When travel is involved what is the ITM workweek?
Depending upon the extensiveness of the travel, a Monday through Thursday work week on site is expected. Four ten hour days are the norm.
If cross-country travel is involved there may be a two week travel cycle where staff will travel home every other week. All travel on client business is billable, but normally travel to and from the client site from Atlanta is not billable unless work activity is performed.
How long does an assessment take and are there fixed fees?
Assessments are of differing lengths and durations. In general, a large IT department will require more time and effort to accomplish a thorough assessment. In addition, it depends upon the type of assessment. An IT operations assessment normally is two weeks duration with one week on-site. A systems development/engineering assessment is two-three weeks duration depending upon whether it is a corporate development organizational assessment (2weeks) or a commercial software engineering assessment (3 weeks). Fees will be fixed in advance.
Are you willing to cap fees and expenses?
Assessments are normally capped--fixed fee engagements. In certain situations we would consider capping via weekly or monthly fees. However, even in these situations if the parameters of the engagement are exceeded, there will be additional fees per previous agreement. In cases of weekly and monthly rates, it is assumed that the effort expended will be at a 40 hour per week rate and 160 hours/month. Staff will not bill for additional hours beyond those points of reference, however all efforts expended on behalf of a client are tracked and if time-off / personal time is required it will be accommodated within any overages that are completely accountable.
What if we are not satisfied with the engagement results?
If you are not satisfied with the engagement results then additional efforts on the part of iTM will be made to satisfy you. If that is not possible, the efforts will not be billed to you. This is not to include satisfaction that has not been achieved due to mis-direction on the part of the client or client's staff. In all good faith, iTM will make every effort to achieve 100% satisfaction or adjust billing accordingly.
Do you specialize in any particular industry sector?
We have experience across healthcare, airlines and hospitality, financial services, and the public sector. Our specialization is not industry specific per se, but rather Information Technology management and processes. While our experience in a particular sector is helpful, the lexicon of our business is the IT semantic model.
We will perform under monthly rates only if the engagement is a minimum of 120 days duration at 100% level of effort.
